The Moor lab recently took a break from the lab to enjoy the tranquility and scenic beauty near Lake Neuchâtel.

Over the course of three days at a cozy chalet, our team members bonded through a mix of leisure and scientific activities that included hiking, cooking together, enjoying a BBQ, and engaging in lively discussions around research and collaboration.

The retreat was an excellent opportunity to nurture our lab culture and strengthen collaborations within the team. From «night science» games that challenged us to think about our research from a different perspective to a pub quiz that tested our wits, the days were packed with fun and intellectual stimulation.

A highlight of the retreat was the hike to the spectacular Creux du Van, where we were treated to breathtaking views. For those who love the water, paddle boarding in Lake Neuchâtel was a refreshing and fun experience.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to the planning and execution of this retreat, with special mentions to Farah for her exceptional organizational skills and to our dedicated cooking team who ensured we were well-fueled for our adventures. These moments away from the lab are invaluable—they remind us of the importance of camaraderie and the shared passion that makes the Moor lab not just a place of work, but a community.
