Moor Lab Welcomes Public to Explore Advances in Cancer Research
Under the theme "3D Models for Cancer Research," Moor Lab recently hosted a public tour, fostering meaningful interactions and showcasing our innovative work at ETH Zurich.
Last week, Moor Lab welcomed the public to experience "3D Modelle für die Krebsforschung" firsthand through a public tour within ETH Zurich's outreach program. Our visitors, ranging from enthusiastic teens to curious pensioners, were treated to an immersive experience that began with a brief scientific introduction. After donning lab coats and goggles, guests embarked on a hands-on tour through four different stations in our lab.
At each station, our dedicated researchers demonstrated advanced technologies integral to our cancer research. Visitors got an up-close look at cancer organoids, insights into low-invasive colonoscopy techniques, and a showcase of Lunaphore’s COMET™ for automated high-plex immunofluorescence. Our team members guided guests through these complex technologies, making the science accessible and engaging. We are proud of their professional presentation skills and grateful for their efforts and contributions.
This event allowed us to present some of our recent work at Moor Lab and emphasized the importance of public engagement for researchers. Interacting with the public, especially within a publicly funded institution like ETH Zurich, provides valuable perspectives and motivation, inspiring us to continue our innovative research.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the visitors for their stimulating questions and keen interest. If you're inspired to join an ETH public tour, find more information at ETH Zurich Public Tours.
