Szu-Hsien Wu Awarded EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowship

We’re excited to share that Szu-Hsien (Sam) Wu has been awarded a prestigious EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowship to support his research!

Portrait of Sam Wu

We’re thrilled to congratulate Szu-Hsien (Sam) Wu on being awarded a prestigious EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowship, which will support his research for the next two years.

Sam joined the Moor lab in 2024 and has quickly made his mark through a creative and forward-thinking approach to science. His research explores fundamental principles in gut physiology and carcinogenesis, and his time in the lab has been marked by an infectious enthusiasm for developing and applying new tools and technologies to probe complex biological systems.

With the support of EMBO, Sam’s project will focus on understanding the coordination of gene expression in the intestine—a system that is both highly dynamic and tightly regulated. This work promises to shed light on key mechanisms of intestinal function and disease, and exemplifies the precision and innovation that EMBO aims to support.
We’re delighted to have Sam as part of the team and look forward to the discoveries ahead. Congratulations, Sam!
