I am a PhD researcher developing microfluidic tools to present and screen high-concentration, DNA-encoded protein and peptide libraries against model organisms. My work primarily focuses on establishing high-throughput methods for engineering novel antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) – a class of naturally occurring short peptides with the potential to combat harmful bacteria. In parallel, I am exploring broader applications of these tools to screen for enzyme and ribozyme activity, with the goal of identifying and optimizing low-activity catalysts relevant to both industrial and academic research.
