Inferring genetic interactions from comparative fitness data

Our recent paper, where we investigate and settle the question of when higher-order genetic interactions can be detected from fitness rank orders of genotypes, has appeared in eLife. The paper is a result of our ongoing collaboration that Niko and Alex started in 2016 at the Simons Institute in Berkeley. This paper is the first result of the collaboration, with more to come!

Single-cell sequencing data reveals widespread recurrence and loss of mutational hits in the life histories of tumors

Jack and Katharina's preprint on testing the infinite sites assumption in tumour evolution with single-cell sequencing data has been accepted for publication in Genome Research.

V-pipe receives funding as SIB resource

V-pipe, our bioinformatics pipeline for the analysis of viral NGS data, now receives funding from the Swiss Institutes of Bioinformatics (SIB) as an SIB resource. We are excited to develop V-pipe further to support viral genomics in both research and clinical diagnostics of viruses.
