Sony MA900 Sorter
The Sony MA900 Multi-Application Cell Sorter is a microfluidic chip-based cell sorter. It is equipped with 4 lasers (405nm, 488nm, 561nm and 638nm). Differently from the Sony SH800, the MA900 has two beam-spots (pin holes); the 488nm laser is collinear with the 561nm laser on the first beam spot while the 405nm and 638nm lasers are collinear on the second beam. The Sony MA900 can detect up to 12 fluorescence and two scatter parameters at the same time.
This sorter has automated setup functions that include stream alignment, drop delay and side stream calibration. Additionally, the machine is equipped with Class-II Biosafety cabinet that provides the possibility to run BSL-2 sorts. The Sony MA900 is located in our access-restricted Biosafety Level 2 room (U1.43) and can be self-operated by trained users.
