Congratulations to Noah on his PhD thesis defence! On Friday, 8th October, Noah defended his PhD thesis “Engineering of Artificial Cells with a Focus on Membrane Proteins”. At the indispensable party following his exam, Noah was awarded a traditional Müller-hat featuring his projects and passions. Thank you, Noah, for the great BBQ and congrats!

PhD positions available to characterize and manipulate molecular and cellular systems

Congratulations to Max on his PhD thesis defence! Max defended his thesis "Differential regulation of cellular adhesion during interphase and mitosis" on 21st July and celebrated his achievment with an excellent BBQ. Once more, Max was a great host to the group. Thank you and congrats!

On 27 June, Sophie Herzog won the European championship in middle-distane triathlon at Challenge Walchsee in Austria. After 4:40 hours and 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21 km of running, she reached the finish line as the first female competitor in her age group (25-29 yr). Congratulations!

Congratulations to Gotthold for winning the ETH medal for his outstanding PhD thesis! During his PhD, Gotthold developed cell mass and mechanics measurements and helped establishing a whole new research area in our group. We are proud of you and wish you all the best for your future! May the force be with you.

Congratulations to Pawel on his PhD thesis defence! On 29th April, Pawel defended his PhD thesis “Characterization of insertion and interactions of membrane proteins with atomic force microscopy” and was rewarded with a handcrafted signature Müller Lab PhD hat. Cheers and congrats!
