Sequences released for genomic surveillance of SARS-​CoV-2 in Switzerland

In coordination with the diagnostics company Viollier we are collecting SARS-CoV-2 viruses from across Switzerland for genome sequencing. The first 249 genome sequences are now available! A phylogenetic tree displaying these genomes is up on external page Nextstrain and the sequence data are available to researchers on external page GISAID (accessions EPI_ISL_451668 - EPI_ISL_451916). We thank the Genomics Facility Basel for sequencing, the developers of external page V-pipe for sequence assembly, and external page Viollier AG for providing the samples!
