Research
The CRFB provides technology and know-how for the fabrication of a broad range of nano- and microtechnological as well was microfluidic devices for a multitude of applications. Glass-based microfluidic chips, SU-8 based molds for silicone (PDMS) casting, and stamps for nano-imprint lithography are fabricated in our facility. Moreover, entire CMOS wafers and single chips are post-processed and customized for specific applications. Examples include CMOS-based high-density microelectrode arrays. The latter are used for extracellular recording from electrogenic cells, such as neurons or heart cells.
