Sunday Evening Session 2 at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (external page ISSCC) 2015 in San Francisco, USA, was focused on technologies and integrated circuit design solutions for interacting with neurons and neural systems. It was aimed at discussing and exploring future opportunities and the impact of semiconductor technologies on human-machine interactions. The invited speakers included Tim Denison, Medtronic Inc., USA, Jan Rabaey, UC Berkeley, USA, Minkyu Je, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology, South Korea, and Andreas Hierlemann, ETH Zurich, who contributed a talk entitled "CMOS Technology to Interface with Single Neurons and Axons".
The external page ISSCC is the flagship conference of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society and is the premier forum for presenting advances in solid-state circuits and microelectronics.
The evening session was also covered by external page EE Times, an online electronics industry magazine published in the United States.
