At the DBSSE Flow Cytometry Facility you can detect and analyze small particles in the nanometer range thanks to the specialized configuration of our CytoFLEX S cytometers.
All of our CytoFLEX S allow side scatter detection to be reconfigured using the 405 nm laser, significantly increasing sensitivity to small particles compared to the traditional 488 nm side scatter. This Violet Side Scatter (VSSC) enables the resolution of particles smaller than 100 nm, something that you cannot often achieve with standard cytometers.
Each of our CytoFLEX S instruments is equipped with four lasers (405, 488, 561, and 638 nm) and a wide range of filters, offering high flexibility and optimal fluorochrome matching for the detection of multiple markers, even on very small particles.
