Data Management
We provide centralized, secured storage for all the raw data acquired in the facility in collaboration with Scientific IT Services (SIS) and the IT Services and Consulting department (ITSC) of the BSSE.
Data and associated metadata are stored in a BSSE-wide instance of openBIS, an extensible, open source software framework for constructing scalable and information systems for data and metadata acquired in biological experiments. OpenBIS enables users to collect, integrate, share, publish data and to connect to data processing pipelines.
We develop the openBIS Importer Toolset (oBIT), an integrated collection of tools that allows for the semi-automated, semi-unsupervised registration of annotated datasets into openBIS directly from the acquisition stations.
For more information about the openBIS Importer Toolset and detailed instructions on how to get, deploy and use it, please head over to its dedicated site.
