Mandatory Info Events

There are two kind of mandatory information events at D-BSSE that take place four times a year.

“New Doctoral Students at D-BSSE” is dedicated to doctoral students who just started their doctorate.
“Final Steps at D-BSSE” addresses doctoral students who will finish their doctorate within the next six months.

Both information events are for D-BSSE doctoral students only.

At this welcoming event for new doctoral students at D-BSSE, your learn about the department in general, the legal basis for doctoral studies at ETH Zurich and the D-BSSE. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to ask questions.

New doctoral students receive an invitation.

Thursday, 19 June 2025, 11:00-11:45
Wednesday, 17 September 2025, 11:00-11:45
Tuesday, 11 November 2025, 11:00-11:45

At this event, you learn about the required steps before and after your doctoral examination, and there is also time for questions.

Please join the event if you are planning to finish your doctorate within the next 6 months. The event has to be attended before you register for your doctoral examination.

All doctoral students receive an invitation.
