Next-Gen Bioengineers partnership of ETH Zurich and Roche

Fostering the next-generation of researchers in translational bioengineering, ETH Zurich and Roche have joined forces to advance the development and application of new methods in bioengineering for translational medicine and potential therapies. The unique collaborative research of both founding partners addresses the open biological and clinical questions by combining new human cell- and gene-based model systems with future technologies. The offer of two research programmes appeals to both doctoral and postdoctoral fellows with its inspiring research environment and providing one of the best trainings at the interface of academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The hub of research collaboration is Basel, home to the partner institutions of ETH Zurich's Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering, Roche's Pharma Research and Early Development with its Roche’s Institute of Human Biology.
