D-BSSE science artworks help students in needs

Three research images produced by D-BSSE scientists that had turned into artwork were first exhibited and then sold at an auction at Kunsthalle Zürich to support needs-based scholarships for ETH students. The event was organised by the company headcount in collaboration with the ETH AI Centre and ETH Foundation.

The D-BSSE contributions included the following artworks:

  • “Embodied Neural Networks” by Rachel Sava, ESOP-scholar of 2021 and Masterstudent in the group of Andreas Hierlemann;
  • “Evolving Tumor” by Niko Beerenwinkel & Robert Noble; and
  • “In Advance of the Broken Femur” by Timm Schroeder & Leo Kunz.

Please note that the description to each artwork was drafted by the exhibition's curator.
