Monitoring of the pandemic: A large national effort
Collaborating with various research partners including the D-BSSE and its in-house Genomic Facility Basel, the Federal Office of Public Health confirms the monitoring programme of the variants of SARS-CoV-2 and the prevalence of the infection in the population. The groups of Niko Beerenwinkel and Tanja Stadler (also in her capacity as group leader of the Covid-19 Scientific Task Force) to a large extent contribute to the analysis of clinical and wastewater samples and the resulting large volume of data.
