New Building BSS
On 6 September 2018, ETH Zurich celebrated the laying of the foundation stone for its new building on the Schällemätteli campus in Basel. In September 2023, school operations at BSS started and the moving into the new building kicked off. As of November 2023, all research groups and scientific facilities at the D-BSSE are united under one roof, in close proximity to important partners. The opening ceremony was celebrated on 16 May 2024.
With the new BSS building on the Schällemätteli campus in Basel, ETH Zurich is creating a modern research building that will provide optimal conditions for collaboration between the natural sciences and medical departments of the University of Basel, its hospitals and ETH Zurich.
