Congratulations, Sophie, for winning the European Middle-Distance Championship in Triathlon at Challenge Walchsee!

Sophie Herzog, doctoral student in the Biophysics group of Daniel Müller, did it again: on 27 June, she left behind all the other female athletes in the age category 25-29 at the 2021 European Triathlon Championship taking place at Challenge Walchsee, Austria. In just 4:40 hours, Sophie reached the finish line – after 1.9km of swimming, 90km of biking covering 1,100m of altitude difference, and 21km of running - big congrats!
